Attua Aparicio’s Magritte-inspired ceramic teapot masquerades as a stovetop espresso maker, the tool most commonly used to satisfy the Spanish caffeine fix. “Spanish people aren’t used to drinking tea,” says the Valencia-based designer, whose mugs with cartoon animal snouts printed on their undersides are produced by Thorsten van Elten. “Maybe with this teapot the transition will be easier.”
