Description
La Sardina Beach Edition cameras "Capri" and "St.Tropez" were launched in Summer 2012.
The chic folding wooden beach chairs and the 60's vintage summer look at the Côte d'Azur were the inspiration to develop this entire plastic/canvas camera collection.
The body of the camera is covered with striped canvas, shaped with a glossy white frame. The white color emphasizes summer and helps to unify the collection, giving and harmonic and fresh visual contrast with the striped colored lined textiles.
These 35mm cameras are equipped with a wide-angle lens, multiple exposure capabilities, and a rewind dial. The vintage design of the camera reminds us to the fish tin cans. La Sardina plastic edition is packed in on a cardboard box simulating the Fish Market wooden crates. It is glueless and stores the contents in two different layers. The first layer includes the camera with flash (plus colors filters); the second layer stores the book, the poster & manual and add-on product, depending on the edition.
I worked on the creative direction, concept development and product design of the collection; including packaging, product, book design and worldwide marketing collateral material for the online, retail and wholesale channels.
La Sardina Beach Edition cameras, including its packaging, are products of the Lomographic Society International. They have
been developed by the in-house design team.
