The Rebels' Hideout (2007) by Hannah Kasper

December 11, 2008. New York design shop MATTER will open Projections tonight, an exhibition featuring the interiors-based paintings of Hannah Kasper, Haejae Lee and Theresa Marchetta. The vacant rooms of Kasper’s paintings provide a stage on which viewers can project any narrative they wish while Lee's rooms take their cues from the American West and represent the longing for home. Marchetta’s colorful canvases resemble the primal domestic space, the cave.
